Is anyone else in a one sided relationship too? - Talk About Marriage
How many people have a spouse who has done a flip flop while being married to them? Example. the woman I fell in love with and married worked out, wanted to look good, had confidence. She gained over 100 lbs. I have done everything under the sun to get her help. I dieted, worked out with her, motivated and so on.
Once we got married and I was hooked then it went downhill from there. Sex has gotten less and she is insecure about herself. Me I am the opposite. I am six feet tall @225 lbs. Thick and trim. I take care of myself and look my best. I do 90% of the work load around the house. Cook and clean, do yard work, clean the litter box, feed the cat, work out, do repairs to the house, while she sits and watches me work my butt off.
I made a ham dinner for her family and they are the same way. Heavy and lazy Christians. I know she is a product of her environment growing up in that. I just feel I am at a dead end here. No where to turn but away. My family sees it even. they approached me about it. Saying I can't be the husband and wife. I can't do it all. I am doing that though. She does a little here and there. Mostly make messes I clean up. I am not saying I don't make messes. I do. In fact I get tired of working and cleaning sometimes.
I can't even enjoy myself when going out. She is either too hot, or winded because she sits most of the day and evening. Trust me I have expressed my concerns in love and with fire too. Nothing budges her.
I am exhausted and alone I feel. I feel like our relationship is more of a roommate situation.

Vegetarian Recipe: Fennel alla Parmigiana | Good Food
Finocchio alla Parmigiana is an Italian classic that is often made by par boiling the fennel then topping it with tomato and parmesan for a quick pop in the oven until bubbly. ?But I prefer to start off by braising the fennel. ?Then the dusting of grated parmesan and oven gratinee is merely a final send off to a dish already imbued with richness and flavor.
Side Note:
These dishes are rich and satisfying because of the amount of olive oil in them. ?Don?t be tempted to reduce the amount of oil. ?Serve it instead of meat as the main part of the meal accompanied by a fresh crunchy salad, good bread and maybe a bit of fresh cheese like chevre or feta. ?Also delicious with grilled fish.

Fennel alla Parmigiana
Look for round bulby fennel. ?They are sweeter than the flat ones.
4 large round bulbs fennel
1 cup extra virgin olive oil
1 cup water
1 cup tomato sauce or peeled chopped tomatoes
Salt to taste
Trim fennel and remove the very fibrous outer layer of the bulb. ?You might feel like you?re wasting a lot of vegetation but your worms or compost pile will be happy. ?Cut the bulbs in half vertically. ?If they are quite large you may cut them in quarters. ?Find a saucepan or casserole dish that just fits all the fennel in one layer with no gaps. ?This is a key part of the process. ?Large empty spaces in the pan can result in burning and uneven cooking.
Pour the olive oil and water over the fennel. ?Salt to taste and dot the tomato sauce over the cut bulbs. ?Now take a piece of parchment paper and cover the fennel. ?The paper should be touching the fennel and tucked into the sides of the pan. ?This allows faster cooking and keeps flavor in.
Bring liquid in pan to a simmer and cook for about 15-20 minutes or until the fennel is tender when pierced with a paring knife. ?You can lift the parchment to check but tuck it back over for further cooking. ?When the fennel is yielding to the knife remove the parchment. ?If there is still a lot of liquid then turn the fire up and let it bubble away to reduce. ?You want some nice syrupy juices.

Samsung working on fix for 'sudden death' bug affecting some Galaxy S III owners
If you own a Galaxy S III that appears to have suffered some form of cardiac arrest, failing suddenly for no apparent reason, Samsung is aware of the problem, and is working on a fix. The issue, being referred to in the forums as "sudden death," seems to be relatively rare: a Samsung spokeswoman told Tweakers that the problem affects "only a very limited number" of devices. So far, we know the problem applies to users running the stock software, as well as custom ROMs. For whatever reason, too, these defective models are all 16GB variants, according to Samsung. In any case, Sammy says it will push out a firmware update to correct the problem, though the company hasn't said when that patch will be ready.

Boeing jet orders surge; on track to be top planemaker

Chicago-based Boeing's tally of 601 planes delivered to customers puts it ahead of Airbus' stated goal of 580 deliveries for the year.
Airbus' final figures won't be announced until January 17, but a Reuters analysis suggests its deliveries won't surpass Boeing's.
"The production system performed really, really well," and helped drive deliveries up sharply from 477 in 2011, said Randy Tinseth, vice president for marketing at Boeing's commercial airplane division.
Boeing also beat its rival in sales, booking net orders for 1,203 aircraft in 2012, compared with about 900 for Airbus, based on the Reuters analysis.
Boeing's near-record sales, thanks largely to the success of its new 737 MAX, are topped only by its sales of 1,413 planes in 2007.
Boeing booked 1,124 net orders for 737s, more than any other model in a single year, many of them for the MAX, which is scheduled to enter service in 2016.
But Airbus, based in Toulouse, France, won the most new orders over the last two years, a period when both companies introduced new versions of their top-selling single-aisle planes, the A320neo and the Boeing 737 MAX.
Airbus' two-year gross sales are expected to total 2,580 planes. That tops Boeing's count of 2,260 for the two years.
Boeing officials downplayed Airbus' two-year win, noting it had done better in sales of larger, wide-body jets, which carry much higher price tags.
Boeing logged 155 gross orders for wide-body jets, which include the 767, 777, 787 and 747 jumbo. That compares with 103 for Airbus models through November, including the A330, A340, A350 and A380 superjumbo.
"All of a sudden, Airbus is talking about a two-year period," Tinseth said. "They like to talk about their success in 2011, we had a great year in 2012 and we've been doing really well on the wide-body side."
Boeing's newest jet, the 787, lost more orders than it received. New orders for the carbon-composite plane totaled 50 compared with 62 cancellations.
Still, overall, Boeing has 799 unfilled orders for 787s and is stepping up production to 10 a month this year.
Boeing is aiming to produce nearly 660 jets in 2013, easily topping the 601 jets it delivered in 2012.

BRISBANE, Australia (AP) ? Serena Williams seized her opportunities in a heavy-hitting match against Sloane Stephens to set up a semifinal against top-ranked Victoria Azarenka at the Brisbane International.
Azarenka had no trouble in a 6-1, 6-0 win over Kazakh qualifier Ksenia Pervak on Thursday before Williams beat Stephens 6-4, 6-3.
Williams converted both of her break points and fended off one break chance in each set to hold off her 19-year-old Fed Cup teammate, later saying Stephens had the potential to be "the best in the world one day."
Stephens was hitting the ball hard and cleanly, and got the better of some powerful rallies with her childhood hero, but lacked experience in the two key moments ? giving up a set point after wasting a game point of her own on serve in the first and the dropping serve in the eighth game of the second set.
"She definitely pushed me. I've always said she's a really good player," Williams said. "You have to expect that going up against what I would consider a top player."
Williams seemed to have trouble with her right calf muscle midway through the second set, knocking her leg three times with her racket before she served at 40-0 in the fifth game, but later said she didn't have any injury concerns.
"I definitely want to thank (Stephens) for giving me such a great match, because I'm going up against another good player, great player, tomorrow, so I have to make sure I'm ready," she said.
Williams has an 11-1 record against Azarenka and was 5-0 against the 23-year-old Belarussian in 2012, including the U.S. Open final.
Azarenka started the year on a hot run, winning the Sydney International and the Australian Open ? her first major ? and gaining the No. 1 ranking during a 26-match winning streak.
But after Azarenka's first-round exit in the French Open, Williams finished 2012 as the most dominant woman on tour with a 31-1 record in the latter half of the season and titles at Wimbledon, the London Olympics, the U.S. Open and the WTA Championships.
With the Australian Open starting on Jan. 14, and neither Azarenka nor Williams playing another tournament before then, Friday's semifinal shapes up as an early season showdown.
"I'm going up against the world's greatest tomorrow. She had a fabulous (last) year," Williams said of Azarenka. "I feel like I have nothing to lose. She's playing so well, she won I think in 20 minutes today. I have a lot of work to do tomorrow."
Azarenka actually took 68 minutes to win her quarterfinal, breaking Pervak's serve seven times.
Pervak had opened the tournament with an upset of former No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki, but didn't have anything left to trouble Azarenka after coming off back-to-back matches decided in third-set tiebreakers.
Azarenka was looking forward to a chance to play Williams, a 15-time major winner, before the first Grand Slam event of 2013.
"Well, it's a tough match, there is no question about it," Azarenka said. "I'm looking forward to it. It's going to be a great test for the Australian Open."
Azarenka and Williams are the only two seeded players still in contention in Brisbane after No. 36-ranked Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova of Russia beat No. 4 Angelique Kerber of Germany 7-6 (3), 7-6 (3), her second win over a top-10 player this week after eliminating 2011 Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova in the first round.
Pavlyuchenkova, a semifinalist in Brisbane in 2011, will next play Lesia Tsurenko of Ukraine, the lucky loser from qualifying who got into the main draw when No. 2-ranked Maria Sharapova withdrew due to a sore right collarbone.
Tsurenko had a 6-3, 6-4 win over Daniela Hantuchova of Slovakia.
"I'm the first time in my life lucky loser, and it's really surprising for me to take the spot of Maria Sharapova," Tsurenko said. "I'm just enjoying now. That's my chance. I'm just taking it."
In the men's second round, Grigor Dimitrov of Bulgaria upset No. 2-seeded Milos Raonic of Canada 6-3, 6-4 and Denis Istomin of Uzbekistan had a 7-5, 7-5 win over former No. 1 Lleyton Hewitt.
Defending champion Andy Murray, the Olympic and U.S. Open champion, was playing Australian qualifier John Millman in a late match.
