BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) -- Louisiana Public Broadcasting has won a federal grant totaling $113,000 to share its educational programming focused on literacy and math with children at three Head Start locations and three public schools, all in north Baton Rouge.
LPB President Beth Courtney says the focus will be on training educators and parents on how to take advance of public broadcasting's classroom content on iPads and other newer technology platforms.
Courtney says the grant also will pay for the purchase of a small amount of classroom technology.
